Adjectives of one syllable

the rules :

  1. Adjectives of one syllable add –er and –est.
  2. Adjectives ending on ‘e’ just add –r and –st.
  3. Some adjectives double the final consonant.

  1. Some adjectives of two syllables add –er and –est.

  4. Some other adjectives of two syllables use more and most (modern, famous, normal, correct,…).
